Women's Basketball Ranked Second in First USCAA Coaches Poll
BUFFALO, NY - The first United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) Division I National Coaches Poll was released on Wednesday which saw the Bryant & Stratton Buffalo women's basketball team selected second. They Buffalo Bobcats have started the season 4-0 and hold two wins over NAIA opponents, Point Park and Carlow.
BUFFALO, NY - The first United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) Division I National Coaches Poll was released on Wednesday which saw the Bryant & Stratton Buffalo women's basketball team selected second. The Buffalo Bobcats have started the season 4-0 and hold two wins over NAIA opponents, Point Park and Carlow.
This marks the program's 10th week all-time ranked second or higher. The Bobcats spent seven weeks ranked number one and one wee ranked second during the 2018-19 season, and were also ranked second for one week last season. This is also the third time in four years for the program that it has started at least 4-0. The Bobcats started last season 4-0 and had their best start in 2019-20 when they began 7-0.
The Bobcats are ranked behind number one Bluefield State, and above number three Bryant & Stratton Syracuse. They hold wins over number five Carlow and Central Penn, who is receiving voted in the Division II poll.
Leading the way once again this season for Buffalo is senior, and preseason Vaden Athletic Conference Player of the Year, Kat Kanhoye. She is averaging 15.5 points per game and shooting 38.5 percent from three. She is also averaging 7.3 assists and 3.0 steals per game. Newcomer Chy Isom has had a strong start to the year as well, averaging 11.5 points and 13.3 rebounds. Overall, the Bobcats have five players averaging in double figures.

UP NEXT
The Bobcats will return from a long layoff caused by the Western New York snow storm, on Sunday, December 4th at 12 p.m. when they host Fisher College (MA). The game will take place inside the Buffalo State Sports Arena.
