Bryant & Stratton Buffalo Women’s Basketball Earns No. 4 Seed in USCAA National Tournament
BUFFALO, NY – The Bryant & Stratton College Buffalo women's basketball team has earned the No. 4 seed in the upcoming USCAA Women's Basketball National Tournament as the Bobcats prepare to compete for a national championship.
For the second straight season, the USCAA National Tournament will be held in Buffalo, N.Y., with Bryant & Stratton Buffalo serving as the host institution. Tournament games will take place at the historic Burt Flickinger Athletic Center and the Villa Maria College Villa Athletic Center.
The Bobcats (17–6), led by Head Coach Brittnee Perry, enter the tournament with momentum and motivation. Bryant & Stratton is coming off a 2025 national championship game appearance, where it suffered a heartbreaking defeat to North American University in the title game.
Since the program's inception in 2019, the Bobcats have qualified for every USCAA National Tournament, making this their seventh national appearance and further establishing themselves as one of the association's premier programs.
Leading the charge is standout sophomore forward, and National Player of the Year contender, Chelsea Johnson, who averages 20.4 points per game and 8.7 rebounds per game, pacing the team in both scoring and rebounding. Her leadership and versatility have been key components of Bryant & Stratton's success throughout the season.
As the No. 4 seed, the Bobcats will open tournament play against No. 5 seed Denmark Tech in a highly anticipated first-round matchup at 4:45 on Tuesday afternoon inside the Flickinger Center.
"Our team understands what it takes to get to this level," said Perry. "We were so close last year, but we know that guarantees us nothing this year. We'll have to beat three very good teams if we want to hoist that trophy, but we have to start with one and that comes against Denmark Tech on Tuesday Our players and staff will be up for the challenge."
