Johnson's Career Day Leads Buffalo to Drubbing of Fisher
BUFFALO, NY — The Bryant & Stratton College Buffalo women's basketball team closed out the 2025 Kickoff Classic in dominant fashion, rolling to a 123–21 victory over Fisher College (MA) on Sunday afternoon at the Burt Flickinger Athletic Center.
The Bobcats (2–0) delivered a statement performance from start to finish, showcasing elite offensive execution and unselfish ball movement. Bryant & Stratton shot an incredible 60.2 percent from the field and recorded 41 team assists on 56 made field goals — a testament to their balance and chemistry across the lineup.
Sophomore forward Chelsea Johnson turned in one of the most efficient games in program history, posting a career-high 34 points on 17-of-23 shooting, along with 12 rebounds and 3 steals. Her inside dominance set the tone early as Buffalo raced out to a commanding first-quarter lead and never looked back.
Senior guard Zyaire Hartfield was equally electric, finishing with 22 points, hitting 6-of-9 from three-point range, and adding 10 assists for a double-double. Jaelyn Giles orchestrated the offense masterfully, totaling 19 points and 11 assists, while Jordyn Cooper-Best added 12 points, 10 assists, and 6 steals in another all-around effort.
The Bobcats' frontcourt was just as impressive. Kortnee Smith dominated the paint with 20 points and 13 rebounds, and De'Amani Davis added 6 points and 13 boards off the bench. Deziree Mount rounded out the attack with 10 points, 5 steals, and 4 assists, giving the team seven players who scored in double figures or contributed heavily across multiple categories.
Defensively, the Bobcats were relentless, forcing 35 turnovers and holding Fisher to just 20.5 percent shooting from the field. Buffalo also dominated the rebounding battle, 53–14, while limiting the Falcons to only eight made field goals the entire contest.
The win caps a perfect weekend for Bryant & Stratton Buffalo, who swept both of their matchups at the 2025 Kickoff Classic, setting the tone for a promising season ahead.
