Bobcats Drop Home Contest to Rochester (NY)
BUFFALO, NY - After a last-minute venue change which saw the game moved to Buffalo from Rochester, the Bryant & Stratton Buffalo Bobcats were unable to capitalize on the home-court advantage as they dropped their second game of the season to the University of Rochester on Wednesday evening. The Yellow Jackets shot an impressive 50.8 percent from the floor and held the Bobcats to just 22.4 percent shooting, leading to the 78-49 final score. Senior Alissa Johnson led the way offensively for B&SC Buffalo, scoring 15 points.

The Yellow Jackets shot an impressive 50.8 percent from the floor and held the Bobcats to just 22.4 percent shooting, leading to the 78-49 final score. Senior Alissa Johnson led the way offensively for B&SC Buffalo, scoring 15 points.
The Yellow Jackets won all four quarters and held a 55-39 rebounding edge. The Bobcats did not make a three, marking the first time all season that that has happened. Senior Janae Brannon added nine points, five rebounds, five steals and four assists. Junior Armoni Jordan scored eight points and secured five rebounds off the bench.
Rochester led wire-to-wire and by as many as 34. The Bobcats were unable to sustain offense, scoring just 16 points in their best quarter, the fourth. After a competitive first quarter, which saw the Yellow Jackets clinging to a three-point edge, they used a 20-10 second quarter to bring a 13-point halftime lead into the locker room.
The two teams traded baskets to open the half before Rochester took it's first 20-plus point lead after a three by Alexis Sestric with 4:22 left in the third quarter. They then closed the half on an 8-0 run to balloon the advantage to 27 and put the game out of reach. Rochester had four players in double-figures and had two with double-doubles.
Freshman Olivia McGlashin had a team-high seven rebounds for Buffalo and also finished with three points, three steals and three blocks. Junior Charm Stone added four rebounds off the bench in just six minutes.
THE SERIES
This was the second meeting between the two programs, both coming in a six-day span. Rochester has won both games in the series.
UP NEXT
The Bobcats will rest for the next week and are tentatively scheduled to resume play on March 4th at 5 p.m. when they travel to Albany, NY to take on St. Rose.
