Bryant & Stratton Buffalo Competes at Houghton Highlander Invitational
HOUGHTON, NY — The Bryant & Stratton College (Buffalo) track & field team continued its indoor season on Saturday, competing at the Houghton Highlander Invitational and turning in several strong performances highlighted by personal records and finalist finishes.
Freshman Sincere Brooks-Davis continued his impressive early-season form in the men's 60-meter dash, clocking a time of 7.49 seconds. The mark was just one millisecond shy of his personal best and came in only his second collegiate meet, signaling continued growth and consistency in the short sprint events.
On the women's side, Kenyaa Joseph delivered one of the most notable performances of the meet. Joseph posted a massive personal record in the 60-meter dash preliminaries, improving her previous best from 8.64 to 8.40, which secured her fifth place out of 26 competitors and earned her a spot in the finals. She followed that up with another standout effort, running 8.34 in the finals for a fourth-place finish. Her performance showcased resilience, dedication, and steady improvement as she continues to translate her hard work in practice into results on the track.
Additional Buffalo competitors also posted solid outings across multiple events. Dameer Harris ran 7.67 in the men's 60-meter dash, while Tayzeon Hopson recorded a time of 57.24 in the 400 meters. Adriel Rosado represented the Bobcats in the 600 meters, finishing with a time of 1:52.56.
The meet provided valuable experience and momentum as Bryant & Stratton Buffalo continues to build toward the heart of the indoor season. The Bobcats will look to carry these performances forward as they prepare for upcoming competitions.
