Top-Seeded Men's Basketball Set to Host Albany in Vaden Cup Semifinals
BUFFALO, NY - The inaugural Vaden Cup is set to begin this Saturday amongst the four Bryant & Stratton College New York State campuses. The Buffalo Bobcats men's basketball team enter the tournament as the top seed and will host the fourth seed Bryant & Stratton Albany at 8 p.m. Saturday.
BUFFALO, NY - The inaugural Vaden Cup is set to begin this Saturday amongst the four Bryant & Stratton College New York State campuses. The Buffalo Bobcats men's basketball team enter the tournament as the top seed and will host the fourth seed Bryant & Stratton Albany at 8 p.m. Saturday.
After posting an undefeated 5-0 record in conference play and a 14-5 overall mark, Buffalo earned the top seed. Syracuse was 3-3 in conference play and earned the second seed, right in front of Rochester who was 2-4. Albany is the fourth seed with a 1-4 conference record.
Buffalo Head Coach Damone Brown is 50-28 in three seasons and is led offensively this year by junior Sam Dorissaint, who scored 13.5 points per game and corrals 6.1 rebounds. He is one of six players averaging in double-figures for Buffalo as senior Shyquinn Dix scores 13 and is coming off a season-high 26 in a regular-season finale win over Kent State Tuscarawas.
The men's championship game is set for 8 p.m. on Sunday. The third place game is at 3 p.m.
