Bobcats Open February on Road at BSC Syracuse

BUFFALO, NY - The Bryant & Stratton Buffalo Bobcats will look to get back on track when they open the month of February, the regular season's final month with a road game at Bryant & Stratton Syracuse on Saturday afternoon.

BSC Buffalo currently sits at 14-8 and fifth in the latest United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) National Poll.  The two teams met earlier in the season back on November 6th in Buffalo, a game won by Buffalo 78-71.

"We had a great week of practice and I think that energy and effort will translate into the game," BSC Buffalo Head Coach Damone Brown said.  "We are getting into the closing stretch of the season and we need to treat every game at this point like a postseason game."

GAME NOTES

• BSC Buffalo enters Saturday's game 14-8 and ranked fifth in the latest USCAA National Poll.
• This will be the ninth game on the road of the last 11.
• Seven of the last nine games have came on the road.
• Buffalo is led offensively by senior Jonathan Range who is averaging 19.9 points per game, ranking him eighth in the USCAA.  He is also averaging 9.3 rebounds and shooting 52.1 percent from the floor.
• Junior Tyrell Mitchell is the team's second leading scorer, netting 17 points per game on nearly 61 percent shooting.  The Second-Team All-American eclipsed 1,000 career points back on January 17th.
• Senior Mick Snowden also eclipsed 1,000 points this season and is averaging 13.8 points per game and shooting 46.7 percent from three.
• Buffalo is averaging 89.4 points per game, ranking fourth in the USCAA.
• Buffalo won an earlier season matchup over Syracuse 78-71 in Buffalo on November 6th.

THE OPPONENT

• BSC Syracuse enters with a record of 5-12 and have lost four straight games.  In their last time out, BSC Syracuse were defeated by Niagara County Community College 97-71 last Monday.
• They are led by Quantae Elijah who is averaging 13.1 points per game on 38.9 percent shooting from beyond the arc.
• They are averaging 82.9 points per game as a team.
• Syracuse has three other players averaging in double-figures in addition to Elijah; Aaron Burton (11.9), Xavier Norgbey (10.4) and Hakeem Ali (10.3).
