BUFFALO, NY - On Thursday November 21, the Bryant & Stratton Buffalo Bobcat athletic program will be hosting a "Bobcat Bash" for all students, faculty and staff as the men's and women's basketball teams are beginning their respective seasons.  This event will take place from 9 am - 12:30 pm on the fourth floor of the Buffalo campus and will feature games, prizes, raffles, giveaways, interactions with coaches and players, pictures, food and much more!

"Our men's and women's basketball teams are in full swing and off to a tremendous start," BSC Buffalo Athletic Director Dr. Marvel Ross-Jones said. "This event will be a great way for our students, as well as our faulty and staff to meet all of our wonderful coaches and players and to participate in some fun games and giveaways geared towards engaging out campus and community with athletics."

Members of the men's and women's basketball teams will be on hand, as well as the coaches from both teams, to talk about the fast starts to their seasons.  The men's basketball team is in its second season after winning 17 games a season ago and advancing to the United States Collegiate Athletic Association Division I National Tournament, ultimately going to the Final Four.  The Bobcats are 3-1 to start this season under leadership of Head Coach Damone Brown.

"This is a great way for our kids to engage with the campus," Brown said.  "We have been given a great deal of support from the school and we try and reciprocate it anyway possible and this event is a way for the students to meet and get to know some of the student-athletes, and vice-versa."

The women's basketball team is in its first season and has won all five of its games to open the season.  They are coming off a thrilling 76-75 final-second win over Point Park University this past Saturday and will look to keep it rolling against Buffalo State College this Friday at 3 p.m.

"We couldn't have had this great start to the season without support from the college," first year head coach Brittnee Perry said.  "We hope all of our students and faculty and staff come out on Thursday and have some fun with our teams.  We are an athletic program on the rise!"

The Bobcat Bash will happen prior to Thursday's men's basketball home game against Jamestown Community at 7 p.m. at the Burt Flickinger Center.  There will be free ticket giveaways at the bash as well.
